Ограничения ПО
Максимальные ограничения OI серверов
Limitations
- Single Instance
- 50,000 I/O total regardless the number of PLC connections
- Limit to 100 PLC connections in a single instance (It is not a hard limit, but a recommended limit)
- Consider that when you have to reset or restart the instance all the PLC connections for that instance are affected.
- Multi-Instance configuration
- In a single node, you can create up to 100 multi-instances of a server.
- Each instance in itself is independent of the other.
- Balancing the number of PLCs per instance
- If you want to divide equally, it could be 20 devices per instance.
- You could also divide based on functional areas or whatever makes sense.
- Hardware
- If this was a node running by itself, you could run such an architecture with 4-8 Cores / 8-16 GB RAM.
- You may need to consider other software running in the node which may impact load and performance
- Вопрос был про SIDirect так что ещё коментарии.
1. DASSiDirect has past its support lifecycle as it is older than 5 years… No longer supported 2. OI SIDirect a. Important: All OI Servers are DAServers under the hood. There was a name change (yes confusing… but lets move forward) b. A single instance of SI Direct supports up to 50,000 I/O. Having said that, the performance of the controllers varies significantly in Siemens an S7-1518 is 30 times faster than a 1515… The customer can validate the controller specs in the TIA Portal software when selecting a controller. c. The refresh speed also impacts 3. Multi-Instance – The professional version of the OI Server supports multi-instance. Please visit the HMI SCADA YouTube channel for details on this. a. If the customer is looking for scalability, they should strongly consider the professional edition.
